The DIY Tourism Office held an HPI Tour Guide Refreshment activity, namely a refresher activity for members of the DIY Province HPI (Indonesian Tour Guide Association) which was attended by 120 people (participants). To support the health protocol (prokes), the activities were divided into 3 batches, held at the Jambuluwuk hotel, Yogyakarta for 3 days, from 1 to 3 August 2022. Each batch consisted of 40 people in one refresher day.

In his opening remarks, the Head of the DIY Tourism Office requested that tour guides or tour guides in DIY focus on domestic or local tourists. Because foreign tourists still depend on Jakarta and Bali. It is hoped that DIY tour guides will prepare packages that will attract domestic tourists. Of course balanced with the ability or skills of qualified guides.

Refreshment of tour guides is one of the efforts to increase the knowledge of guides or guides so that DIY guides can upgrade their grades. This refresher activity is filled with material about the culture and features of Yogyakarta as well as the philosophical axis, so that DIY guides are reliable in explaining the history and cultural values of Yogyakarta.
